Tips for making friends:

  • Be very open.
  • Get outside (hobby, dog, sports, activities, whatever).
  • Never say no to an opportunity - you never know what will blossom,
  • Don’t judge. Socio-economic status is one of the big reasons for people to self-select friend groups. If you can transcend that judgement, you’ll be amazed at who you will meet.
  • Take the lead. It’s like dating all over again. And that was never fun.
  • Realize that one can make friends (even if it’s harder) at any age.
