Episode 59 - Effective Voice Mail
Justin is being harassed by a new vendor that doesn't know how to use voicemail. We figured it would be a great topic until we realized that Stu doesn't get phone calls. It's a North American thing, and we cover it from that perspective.

Effective voice mail for productivity
Justin's list of effective things to include in a voicemail:
- Name and company.
- Telephone number you can be reached at. Speak slowly.
- Specific reason for your call. Include case and reference numbers if required.
- Repeat critical pieces of information slowly (such as numbers) - someone is likely writing them down.
- Be specific about the next steps in communication - this is the info, this is what is needed, this the specific response needed.
- Close by repeating your name, company and telephone number.
- Mention the best time to get you (if you have office hours”) for further questions.
Avoid the back and forth. That’s the killer.
